From the Frontlines to Infrastructure: 6 Years in the Heat
My journey in IT has been a series of front-line interventions. I’ve spent the last 6 years at the heart of the machine: first on the ground as an IT Technician, then stepping up as a NetAdmin.
Today, I am starting my transition toward becoming a Blogger, SysAdmin, and perhaps one day, a Freelancer. it-firefighting is my catharsis: a vital outlet where I document the raw reality of the trade.
Irony as a Technical Shield
Here, we talk shop, but with a heavy dose of humor and irony. It is my response to an industry in crisis, where management often gets lost in the absurd while technicians saturate under the weight of total technical responsibility and non-existent budgets.
We treat network fires with the seriousness they deserve, but we laugh (often a bit grimly) at the decision-making absurdity and a workload that has become stubbornly exponential.
However, amidst the sarcasm, you will find solid substance:
- Rigorous Tutorials: So you never have to struggle with the same configurations again.
- The Lab & Discoveries: New tools, custom scripts, emerging concepts, or just random ideas... basically, whatever crosses my mind and is worth sharing.
- Real-World Feedback : What works, what breaks, and what the official brochures never tell you.
